
Serbia is a world-renowned manufacturer of
plums and of rakija. There are different varieties of plum, but for the production of rakija the best varieties are požegača (Madžarka), and quality crvenjača (red rank) whose properties are transferred to the rakija.
Rakija (Slivovitz), the plum brandy, is worldy known and recognized Serbian
brandy. It is very drinkable and has a sumptuous aroma and taste. Recommended as a chilled aperitif.
